As National Student Leadership events bring together students, regional gatherings have formed in an effort to keep students connected throughout the year. One such get-together is known as the Spring Gathering, which began in 2000 by former U.S. Representative Steve Largent and his wife, Terry. Held annually in late spring, this event is a time to have fun, relax, reconnect and continue discussing how to positively impact the world. The overarching goal of the weekend is to create an environment for students to continue their friendships, as well as their study of the principles of Jesus. International Forums are also held on several continents around the world. Events have occurred in Germany, Australia, England and Norway, while the development of other gatherings in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia are being discussed.
